MCEP: 4 training paths
Before requesting the lifting of a licence suspension or applying for a licence, you may have to complete the 2021-2023 cycle of the Mandatory Continuing Education Program (MCEP). Here are the specifics of the cycle.
The four training paths of the 2021-2023 cycle, were created based on areas of practice. Each training path is unique and adapted to your reality in the field.
Choose the path that matches the area of practice in which you are authorized to practise.
I am a residential real estate broker
You must earn 22 CEUs by taking:
- 5 mandatory training activities of the OACIQ (10 CEUs)
- Elective training courses offered or accredited by the OACIQ (12 CEUs)
Mandatory training activities
- Prohibition of double representation and changes to residential brokerage forms (2 CEUs)
- Anti-money laundering in real estate brokerage: detecting it, preventing it and meeting your obligations - broker version (2 CEUs)
- Data security and protection of personal information - broker version (2 CEUs)
- REBA protection: For a smooth and secure transaction (2 CEUs)
- Main categories of compliance obligations - residential brokerage version (2 CEUs)

I am a full-service real estate broker

- Main categories of compliance obligations – commercial brokerage version (2 CEUs).

I am an agency executive officer or a certified broker AEO
You must earn 26 CEUs by taking:
- 6 mandatory training activities of the OACIQ (12 CEUs)

- Prohibition of double representation and changes to residential brokerage forms (2 CEUs)
- Anti-money laundering in real estate brokerage: detecting it, preventing it and meeting agency obligations – agency executive officer version (2 CEUs)
- Data security and protection of personal information – agency executive officer version (2 CEUs)
- REBA protection: For a smooth and secure transaction (2 CEUs)
- Main categories of compliance obligations – residential brokerage version (2 CEUs)*
- Main categories of compliance obligations – commercial brokerage version (2 CEUs)*
- Contingency plan and business continuity (2 CEUs)

*Real estate brokers and agency executive officers must sometimes take the same training courses, regardless of their area of practice. However, some of the courses are offered in different versions, residential brokerage, commercia brokerage or agency executive officer. Please pay special attention to this when signing up.
