Nadine Lindsay

Nadine Lindsay has been President and Chief Executive Officer of the Organisme d'autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec (OACIQ) since May 2016. She is also Vice-Chair of the boards of directors of the Real Estate Regulators of Canada and of the Mouvement d’éducation de défense des actionnaires.

Ms. Lindsay served as Vice-President, Legal Affairs, and Corporate Secretary of Desjardins General Insurance Group and its subsidiaries from 2013 to 2016, and as Vice-President, Compliance, at Standard Life of Canada from 2001 to 2013. Ms. Lindsay was previously Senior Director, Legal Affairs and Compliance at Courvie-Dubeau financial corporation, before becoming a commercial real estate brokerage legal counsel.

Ms. Lindsay is recognized as a businesswoman with inspiring and innovative leadership. In 2023, she successfully implemented artificial intelligence in various operations, including the creation of a virtual conversational agent, making the OACIQ the first Canadian regulator to use AI. She was also a member of the Governance Committee of the Quebec Section of the Canada Green Building Council and a member of the Market Regulation Committee of the Insurance Bureau of Canada. From 2010 to 2014, she was Chair of the Governance, Regulatory Compliance and Ethics Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association, Quebec Division, where she helped enhance regulatory risk management understanding.

She holds a law degree from Laval University and is a member of the Barreau du Québec and the Canadian Bar Association. She also completed an executive leadership program under the guidance of Henry Mintzberg, offered jointly by McGill International Executive Institute and the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in the United States. Ms. Lindsay holds a Certified Corporate Director certification from Laval University and is an accredited mediator of the Barreau du Québec.
