Louis Beauchamp officially joined the Organisme d'autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec (OACIQ) in April 2023 as Vice-President of Communications. Louis has almost 40 years of experience in communications and journalism.
Since joining the OACIQ, he has made a significant contribution to raising consumer awareness of the public protection mission, notably by promoting greater media presence and more effective communication campaigns. Louis is also responsible for stakeolder relations.
During his career, he held senior management positions at the City of Montreal as Director of the Communications Department from 2014 to 2018, and as Senior Director, Public Affairs and Communications at the Autorité des marchés financiers from 2009 to 2014. This experience enabled him to acquire in-depth knowledge of complex environments and issues.
From 2001 to 2009, Louis worked for NATIONAL Public Relations Firm as Director of Spokesperson Training and Senior Advisor, Public Affairs. He advised hundreds of senior executives on issues and crisis management.
Previously, Louis worked as a journalist for some fifteen years, mainly at TVA Group from 1989 to 2000.
Louis holds a bachelor's degree in communications from UQAM and is co-author of the guide L'avocat et les médias published by Éditions Yvon Blais.
