NOTICE OF SUSPENSION
OF MR. ROBERT AMYOT’S LICENCE

NOTICE is hereby given that Mr. Robert Amyot, former real estate broker (licence No. D6438) whose establishment is located in Baie-Comeau, has been found guilty by the Discipline Committee of the Organisme d’autoréglementation du Courtage Immobilier du Québec of the offences summarized below:

1st count: On or around October 20, 2007, having obtained that a client hands in the following cheques to individuals who do not hold a certificate issued by the Association des courtiers et agents immobiliers du Québec for the payment of fees related to the opening of a file for searching for a mortgage financing:

a) A cheque in the amount of $140.71 payable to a company;
b) A cheque in the amount of $200 payable to a company;
committing, on each occasion, an offence under section 72(2) of the By-Law of the ACAIQ.

2nd count: On or around October 20, 2007, having allowed or authorized that a company which does not hold a certificate issued by the Association des courtiers et agents immobiliers du Québec to enter into service agreement with clients to search for a mortgage financing,
thus committing an offence under section 13 of the Rules of Professional Ethics of the ACAIQ.

3rd count: On or around November 11, 2007, concerning an immovable, having drafted a promise to purchase and indicated on it a purchase price of $133,000, while he knew that this amount did not represent the real agreement between the parties,
thus violating section 13 of the Rules of Professional Ethics of the ACAIQ.

On May 31, 2011, the Discipline Committee ordered a suspension of Mr. Robert Amyot’s real estate broker’s licence (D6438) for a concurrent period of ninety (90) days on count No. 1 a) and 1 b) of the complaint and a suspension for a concurrent period of ninety (90) days on count No. 2 and a suspension for a consecutive period of six (6) months on count No.3.

The suspension periods mentioned above shall be served as of the date of the appeals deadline if the defendant is the holder of a licence issued by the OACIQ or, if not, whenever he becomes a licence holder again.

Since Mr. Robert Amyot is not a licence holder, his licence will be suspended for a period of six (6) months and ninety (90) days whenever he becomes a licence holder again.

This notice is given in accordance with section 98.1 of the Real Estate Brokerage Act (R.S.Q., c. C-73.2) and section 33 of the Regulation respecting the issue of broker’s and agency licences.
