Co-ownership documents

Persons living in a divided co-ownership property are bound by a declaration of co-ownership which defines the destination(s) of the immovable, establishes the powers and duties of the syndicate of co-owners, and sets out the rules relating to the enjoyment, use and maintenance of the private and common portions of the property, as well as those relating to the operation and administration of the co-ownership. It is a contract that is binding on all co-owners as soon as it is published in the Land Register. The real estate broker must make sure that the buyer can review it before presenting an offer.
