Public Assistance Department

The Public Assistance Department is there to inform brokers or clients in case of a violation. It may also be called upon to resolve disputes that arise in the course of a transaction.

Syndic

When a request concerns allegations of ethical violations requiring investigation, the Public Assistance Department refers the case to the Office of the Syndic.

Discipline Committee

This Committee hears complaints pertaining to ethical faults committed by brokers or agencies and has the power to impose penalties.

Fonds d’assurance responsabilité professionnelle du courtage immobilier du Québec (FARCIQ)

This Fund offers financial protection to consumers in case of unintentional fault, error, negligence or omission committed by a real estate or mortgage agency or broker in the course of their professional activities.
